About me
I am native to Logan, UT and have always been passionate about music. I recently graduated with a Music Education degree at Utah State University. My main instrument is guitar, but in my studies I have had to learn other instruments like trumpet, drum kit, clarinet, flute, french horn, and bass guitar. I also love to sing!
I have been accepted into the Master of Audio Engineering program at Belmont University and have recently relocated to Nashville, TN.
In my personal life, I am a huge AC Milan fan and you can usually catch me watching some type of sporting event in my free time. I play golf and play in a curling league with my wife. We love traveling and exploring new places and cultures.
I am influenced by a lot of different styles of music. Jazz has been a big part of my studies the past few years, but my roots are in indie pop/rock. Some artists (just to name a few) that I take inspiration from are Vampire Weekend, Kendrick Lamar, Jeff Buckley, Pharrell Williams, Dan Nigro, Grant Green, and BROCKHAMPTON.
I have been teaching guitar lessons for 10 years, and producing music for 7 years. I have experience working in marketing making commercial music for different brands, and in online music education.
I release music under my own name (Justin Warnick) but more recently, with my band Garden Drive. I have been playing with them for the past two years and it has been a blast meeting people within the Utah music scene and creating alongside so many wonderful musicians.
